Our History
Buddharangsee Thai Community Language School Inc (BTCL School) was established in 1991 at the Buddharangsee Temple library in Stanmore. Driven by growing student numbers, the school relocated to the Addison Community Centre two years later. In its fifth year, BTCL School received a grant from the Thai Ministry of Foreign Affairs to support Thai language and cultural education for children across Sydney and surrounding areas, prompting a move to Stanmore Public School.
In 2018, BTCL School relocated to its current home at the NSW School of Languages in Petersham. Today, its modern facilities allow the school to expand and enrich the lives of more than 100 students each term through Thai language and cultural education.

โรงเรียนภาษาไทยวัดพุทธรังษีเริ่มทำการสอนขึ้นในปี พ.ศ. 2534 ภายในบริเวณห้องสมุดวัดพุทธรังษี สแตนมอร์ สองปีต่อมา จำนวนนักเรียนได้เพิ่มมากขึ้นเกินกว่าสถานที่วัดจะรองรับได้ โรงเรียนจึงได้ย้ายไปอยู่ที่ศูนย์ชุมชนแอดดิสัน (Addison Community Centre) ย่างเข้าปีที่ห้า กระทรวงการต่างประเทศ ประเทศไทยได้มอบทุนเพื่อดำเนินการสอนภาษาไทยและวัฒนธรรมไทยให้แก่เยาวชนไทยในซิดนีย์และเขตใกล้เคียง โรงเรียนจึงย้ายอีกครั้งมาทำการสอนที่ Stanmore Public School
ต่อมาในปี พ.ศ. 2561 โรงเรียนได้ย้ายมาทำการสอนที่ NSW School of Languages, Petersham ซึ่งมีสถานที่กว้างขวางรองรับนักเรียนได้มากกว่าเดิม โดยปัจจุบันมีนักเรียนกว่า 100 คน ในแต่ละเทอม
Home Coming Project
Buddharangsee Thai Community Language School Inc, in collaboration with the Royal Thai Consulate-General and the Tourism Authority of Thailand in Sydney, previously organised a two-week “Home Coming Project”. This program, held during the July school holidays, was designed to encourage Thai-Australian youth and their parents to visit their ancestral homeland.
During the project, students had the opportunity to visit several significant Thai landmarks, including the Government House, Parliament House, museums, and the Planetarium. Additionally, they gained hands-on experience by working in a rice field and participating in activities and events with local schools in Bangkok and other provinces.
Unfortunately, the program has been discontinued since the COVID-19 pandemic and a current shortage of volunteers.
โครงการเยาวชนไทยในออสเตรเลียเยือนแผ่นดินแม่
โรงเรียนภาษาไทยวัดพุทธรังษีร่วมกับสถานกงสุลใหญ่ ณ นครซิดนีย์ และการท่องเที่ยวแห่งประเทศไทย สำนักงานซิดนีย์เคยจัดโครงการ “Home Coming Project” ซึ่งเป็นโครงการระยะ เวลา 2 สัปดาห์ในช่วงปิดเทอมเดือนกรกฎาคม โดยมีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อส่งเสริมให้เยาวชนไทยในออสเตรเลียและผู้ปกครองได้เดินทางกลับไปเยี่ยมบ้านเกิดของบรรพบุรุษ
ระหว่างเข้าร่วมโครงการ นักเรียนได้มีโอกาสเยี่ยมชมสถานที่สำคัญในประเทศไทย เช่น ทำเนียบ รัฐบาล, อาคารรัฐสภา, พิพิธภัณฑ์ และท้องฟ้าจำลอง นอกจากนี้ยังได้ร่วมกิจกรรมภาคปฏิบัติ เช่น การทำนา, การเข้าร่วมกิจกรรมกับโรงเรียนต่าง ๆ ทั้งในกรุงเทพฯ และต่างจังหวัด
โครงการนี้ได้ถูกยกเลิกไปสืบเนื่องจากสถานการณ์การแพร่ระบาดของโควิด-19 และการขาดแคลนอาสาสมัครในปัจจุบัน
